Moving into young childhood age, and signs were seen from early stages that Kai was the more of the focused one. Always doing what was needed of him, and wanting to learn skills from both mother and father along with helping others. Chad, on the other hand, seemed to be the rebel child. A mean person who only seemed to want was best for him, and never actually gave but only took. Kai could see this and appeared to allow his brother to do what he wanted. Both parents challenged Chad, but it was not meant to be. The more they pushed, the more Chad seem to get out of control, which seem to ask a question in the mind of their parents as to why. Answers never came, and it was then Kai had to take a back seat while Chad got the all the attention to understand why his behaviour was out of sorts. Second stage In the few years before the point, that would completely turn his world upside down. Kai and Chad were on the road to point scoring. Issues after issues had made both brothers more hatred towards each other, and it was even clear to people looking in from the outside that Chad began to run with the wrong crowd.
By the end of the year, it was never going to come to a respective finish with both brothers laying to rest their anger towards each other. A cold November night on the 6th and it was that the brothers came to blows. Pulling out a knife and waving it in the direction of Kai it was clear Kai had to fight to survive. Defending himself from the attacks of his brother Chad, the battle ended badly with Kai watching his brother stab himself in the stomach with his blade, after failing to kill Kai because of the jealous rage that had built up in Chad's soul. Left for dead on the ground, Kai was the only person at the scene when picked up by the law and arrested for the crime that he never committed, and questioned for hours.
Days turned into weeks, and weeks turned into months, which finally ended with Kai being freed. An anonymous person had witnessed the scene and released Kai, who until this day never knew who the person was, but always thanked them dearly. You would say that now Kai is a free man he would cherish his freedom, but Kai lives with the nightmare that still haunts him to this day, and the push out from both his parents rejecting Kai, due to his brother death and feeling Kai was the one who truly pushed Chad to kill himself. Third Stage A year to come to terms and Kai being drafted to join the Marine Air-Ground Task Force Solider (MAGTF). He seemed to accept this and welcomed the challenge. More routines and more challenges faced him in many ways. Learning to control his anger and adapting to certain situations was a challenge, but one Kai seems to do well. Combat skills along with mission training were asked from Kai, who stepped up to the challenge and did what he was asked. He took the low blows along with highs of the job and never gave in to his demons who attacked him at night.
Few years had quickly gone by, Kai focused on his job and keeping his head down. Not much happened in those five years. Which helped Kai become a new man, and turn his whole way of living a complete circle. Leaving the (MAGTF) was in order and it was a moment Kai would never forget. Kai meet Lisa. Both clicked quickly, and both fell for each other. A wedding that was a happy time for both which seemed to shock some to a small group, but it did not stop neither Kai or Lisa bonding so much.
Past events are naming his brother death and his parents disowning him caught up with Kai, who had no control over his emotions towards his wife. Not meaning to, Kai hit her in a fit of rage while drunk which caused a chain of events, and for Lisa to do the dirty and have an affair with another person. The Here, and now Moving on, and they say time heals. But for Kai, that is not the case. He wears the scars of his life. He's a broken man who can't find the way to love no more. The past jumping to attack him and with his family completely disowning him, he alone once more. Kai went back into the (MAGTF) and spent what seemed like five years just travelling and training. He had nothing to go back to. Nothing worth fighting for and he appears to live on the edge. Kai moved up the ranks. He welcomed the position and even transferred to the Marine Expeditionary Brigade (MEB) which is more of a united that conducting missions across the full range of military operations for 30 days at a time. Another hard training year, which now saw Kai Twenty- Seven and passing that. Kai for two years travelling the US in missions, and now with another moment to open another new chapter Kai is ready to mend the scars, and move on to better things.[/break]

The night was still young but has Kai stood at the entrance his hands cold from the bitter wind that caught hit him as he stood in its path; Kai was aching to step inside for a while. But still they came wanting to get into the club. Checking ID and looking at faces Kai shivered in coldness. Yeah okay, that was not what an Ex-Marine was about, he trained to handle coldness and different types of weather conditions, but Portland's wind was much colder with a hungry bite. The gloves he wore were sticking to his hand as Kai seemed to catch a break. Looking around to make sure nobody was walking towards him, he looked up into the dark black sky. Stars shone bright, and smoke left his mouth like he was smoking, which truth be told he could do a little pick me up. His attention was brought back to the sound of the door opening. Like always he turned his attention to a young female. Kai sort of knew the beautiful face. She had done some work for him. Not much, but a few Tattoos and an eyebrow piercing which he was proud off. Kai smiled and spoke in a husky voice in the female direction. “Hey Sunshine,” as he noticed a group of youngsters waiting to go inside. He seemed to watch the female smile back as he then turned his attention back to a male who looked too young for the club. Kai stopped the boy and gave his ID another look before watching the boy who stood with a nervous look about him. "How old?" Kai looked deep into his eyes knowing that the answer would be false. "I'm old enough, besides, read my ID it tells you." Kai seemed to smile. Watching this kid was amusing. "We have a joke. What is your age? I can't read." Kai turned to the others who laughed at his comment.
Another bouncer approached with still a short moment going by and the kid getting unsettled. Kai turned and whispered to the male. "The kid is underage and playing." Kai nudged as the boy grabbed the ID and ran off into the darkness. The other went inside with Kai shrugging at what just went down. It seemed to go dead until something deep inside Kai woke up. It was if he felt danger. He turned and felt a sudden bolt of lightning hit his heart. The girl who he had smiled at seemed to take ages. He knew how long it took to smoke, and this was too long. "Stay here, I'm going to have a walk around." Simply without asking anything, the other male nodded, and Kai walked off in the direction of where he saw the female go.
The silence was met and then a cry followed by a scream. Kai raced in the direction of the screams and was met by a group of males holding onto the female. "FUCK" Kai knew she was in danger, and going deep into the alley meant trouble in the worse possible way. Kai leapt onto the male closest to him and took him down, rolling him over Kai punched him hard in the face. The male was out. Kai then took another down, but the guy got up and hit Kai in the face hard. Blood escaped the corner of Kai's lip as Kai took a roundhouse kick to the male and sent him flying. The male who had the female pushed her to the side and knocked her down hard. Kai seemed to dislike that and ran towards the man who pulled out a knife and waved it in the direction of Kai. He stopped moving and lunged back to stop himself. Kai was on guard. He had been in this situation before and knew how to take down his opening. Pulling out a baton that he had in his pocket of his jacket, Kai extended it to full length and swung at the male. It walloped his ribs, and the man stepped back with the knife still pointing at the Kai. "Come on your fucker." The man spat the words out as Kai hissed in his direction. "Drop the fucking knife before somebody gets hurt." Kai went for the male again, but he knew this and stepped aside. Kai caught his balance as the man swung at Kai and caught his jacket. Luckily it just kissed Kai skin and done no damage. Kai turned to the female who seemed to lay motionless. He wanted to check on her, but he knew if he lost his attention he was going to be stabbed. Kai just prayed she would be okay for a little while longer.
Another swing, and, this time, Kai turned and hit the males thigh. A thud was heard and the man went down hard. Kai grabbed him and pinned him against the wall. "Don't you ever go near this woman again, or I shall have you and maybe kill you. Get what I'm saying?" The man was out cold, and Kai knew that.
A moment to look at the damage he had done, and Kai threw him to the side like he was nothing. He turned his attention to the female and dropped to his knees without thinking. He gently placed his hand under her head and lifted her head up to see her face and the damage they had done. He whispered to her. "Hey Sunshine, can you hear me?"[break]
