From the way she walks, talks, and even looks, it is obvious that she comes from wealth and power. Which she has both of in abundance. As the leader to Chicago's greatest crime family, Theresa both walks the walk and talks the talk. Along with her aristocrat background, Theresa has the looks and attitude to back it up. This girl is a classy lady who is always at her best; whether that be looks or behaviour. She usually talks in a quiet voice and remembers to use her manners no matter who is she talking to. Theresa just has this overall aura of leadership about her that makes her the undefeated leader of the Bianchi. No matter the circumstances, she is always the center of attention in a crowded room. Theresa wields her power like a weapon. She is confident in her abilities and who she is as a person. She never lets anyone walk over her and has no problem being outspoken. She is very controlling when it comes to Bianchi business and likes to get her way. In an odd way, Theresa is very similar to her father in the fact that she is a perfectionist. She likes to time things down right to the second and always has a plan in mind. She hates nothing more than when someone cannot complete a task she assigns them. As with her perfectionist nature, Theresa holds herself to very high standards, as well as the people around her. She is highly critical and can be very hard on herself and others. When it comes to the things she wants, Theresa is highly ambitious to the point where she becomes greedy. She considers Chicago her city and that she entitled to do what she wants here. The city police department are nothing next to her; they are but annoying maggots feasting upon the dead flesh of the city. Whereas Enigma is an infection she intends on ridding herself of as quickly as possible. The Bianchi family are the rulers of the city, making Theresa the Queen. As Queen of the city, she is ruthless when it comes to enforcement of her rules. All the people in the city are but puppets on strings, and Theresa is the one calling the shots. the history mother • Maristella Bianchi nee Merlo, 56, Matriarchy of the family | Deceased father • Matteo Bianchi, 54, Head of the Bianchi | Deceased siblings • Shaun Bianchi, 26, male, Owner of Tiger's Den Other Bianchi siblings other important people • Nico Bianchi, 48, Business owner, Uncle | Deceased Marco Bianchi, 14, child, distant cousin | Deceased pets • Genesis, 1 year, male, Cremello hometown • Rome, Italy previous group • Once a Bianchi, always a Bianchi previous group's rank • N/A overall history • The room Theresa Bianchi was born in a room the best money could buy, because her father would settle for nothing less for his first born child. It was a highrise apartment that overlooked the historical city of Rome, purchased months in advance. Matteo Bianchi had years to plan exactly how he was going to raise his firstborn. From what they're name would be to where they would study, he had every agonizing detail mapped out. So when the newborn was brought into this world with an agonizing scream, all he did was smile calmly and give her the name Theresa Oriana Bianchi. Despite her status as the firstborn and heir to the Bianchi family, Theresa never had it very easy. The Bianchi's seat of power was back in Chicago but she was purposefully born in Rome. While her parents moved back to the US to continue their way of life in Chicago, Theresa was left in Rome with Matteo's family. Matteo would always calmly tell his daughter that Rome was the birth place of powerful leaders. Theresa's childhood was spent in Eternal City, getting her feet under her. Rome was a dark, gritty city. A mixing pot of different cultures and people, but inheritably under the control of the families of old. Matteo and the rest of the Bianchi family never hid their nature from Theresa, instead they outright told her what the family did and that one day she would take over for them. Theresa knew from day one that she would take over her father's position as head of the family. Still, while she lived out her childhood in Rome, such issues seemed so far away. Instead, little Theresa busied herself daily activities set by her father. She would study, perhaps not the kinds of things other kids did, work out, socialize with the inner circles of Rome. It was a strict schedule for every day of the week and Theresa soon found herself suffocating under its weight. Like any other self respecting kid her age, she sneaked out of her window in the middle of the night to meet up with some local kids her age at the bar. Theresa knew these kids had ties to the mafia like she did, so surely it wasn't a problem if she hung out with them? At least, that was her reasoning. That night that Theresa spent at the bar playing pool with her new friends, the Caruso family was in the back arguing over a home made bomb. All it took was one slip up for the bomb to detonate, taking the entire bar with it. Theresa escaped the accident wounded but her friends were not so luck. A local seamstress recognized Theresa for who she was and escorted her back to her furious uncle. Once her wounds healed into scars, Theresa began a vindictive manhunt for those responsible for the accident. Three months later she found the culprits and with some help from her uncle, mercilessly executed them. Instead of feeling numb or sick by what she did, Theresa was filled with an acute sense of pleasure for killing the culprits. In fact, she had so much fun dealing her vengeance that even her well weathered uncle had to look away. After all was said and done, word of the incident reached Matteo's ears and he was furious. He had wrongly trusted Nico to keep a tight leash on Theresa but he was clearly wrong. Things weren't going according to his plan. Soon Theresa was bundled up on plane to Chicago to stay with her parents permanently. The whole flight over she rehearsed and rehearsed what she would say, how she would act, how best to show her parents all she's learned. But when she landed in Chaicago it was to be met with a chauffeur waiting for her. She was disappointed, but tried to reason that her parents were busy people. When she arrived at the Bianchi mansion she was instantly taken with her new home. It was beautiful and painfully similar to the grand mansions she was used to back in Italy. Her parents, were much less welcoming. Matteo wasted no time lecturing his daughter, who he hadn't seen in eight years, on all the things she did wrong while in Italy. Needless to say, Theresa was surprised and hurt by her father's behaviour. All the plans she had been making in her head on the flight over dissolved into smoke as she caved in on herself under her father's furious gaze. The conversation ended with Matteo running a hand through his hair and looking over at his wife. "She's not going to last." He told her bitterly, not even looking in Theresa's direction. "Too reckless, too disobedient. We need to try again." One year later, Theresa's little brother Shaun was born. Of course Theresa was achingly bitter and jealous of Shaun. Instead of dwelling on it, Theresa threw herself into her training. She never forgave her father for tossing her aside like that. Instead of throwing a tantrum, Theresa allowed herself to fade into the background of the family. In the shadows of her new brother and parents, she turned to Chicago for an escape. For years Theresa threw herself into learning anything she could get her hands on. Usually all people had to hear was her last name and they would give her whatever she wanted. So Theresa started learning a variety of weapons. From high caliber sniper rifles to small throwing daggers; name it and she knew how to use it. From there, she started integrating herself into the underground world of Chicago. Most of Theresa's teenage years were spent at a variety of parties, drinking booze and taking any drugs she could get her hands on. The perfect example of a rich, entitled brat. But Theresa was much, much more than that. She used these parties as an opportunity to get to grow her power in Chicago. She made her rounds in the underground, easily growing in popularity and getting her name known among all the criminal circles. Theresa was 18 the first time she was almost assassinated. She was taking a flight to Mexico when the plane was highjacked and crashed deep in cartel lands. Theresa was the only one to survive the crash. She scavenged what she could from the wreck before limping for several miles to the nearest city. She stayed there for a week to recover in the hospital before she decided to return to Chicago. The night before she left, Theresa was confronted by her to-be assassin, her uncle Nico. After a two hour firefight, Theresa emerged victorious. She managed to get uncle Nico to confess that her father had been the one to hire him. Theresa just laughed and smile viciously. So that's how it was going to be. Theresa returned to Chicago as if nothing had happened. Her family was in for a shock when she pranced through the door with a bloody smile and skip in her step. She knew that her father would not stand having her as the head of the Bianchi family. She was too independent and slowly gathering her own power independent of the Bianchi influence. It all came down to the fact that Theresa did not fit into the mold her father had planned when she was born, nor was she ever going to. Thus started the quiet Bianchi civil war. Matteo Bianchi, head of the family against his daughter Theresa, the heir to the family. Instead of stepping back and laying low like Matteo expected her to do, Theresa threw herself into her duties of Bianchi heir with renewed enthusiasm. She went to meetings along side her father with a convincing fake smile and the two of them acted like there was nothing wrong. But if one looked closely enough, they would see the way Theresa never ate or drank anything around her father and would never go anywhere alone with him. The two Bianchis preformed a cautious dance for years, with Matteo throwing assassination attempts at his daughter left and right with increasing frustration as Theresa continued to outwit him. All the while Thereas built up a group of trusted employees that were loyal to her and not her father. Meanwhile, the two put on a convincing show to the rest of the world that the Bianchi family were as strong and united as ever. With every failed assassination attempt, things became more and more tense and the masks they put on for the outside world became more strained. As Theresa grew older and more powerful, she finally decided to start fighting back against her father. She had a sizable amount of the Bianchi family members behind her back and she was ready to start fighting back. Unfortunately, her first attempt at fighting back against her father didn't go according to plan. Theresa organized a drive by shooting attempt on her father that ended in several injured civilians and one dead. That one dead happened to be her mother. There was no love lost between Maristella Bianchi and her daughter. Theresa hated her mother for the fact that she just stood by and watched as Matteo tried to kill Theresa multiple times. So she shed no tears over her mother's death. The death of Maristella Bianchi was mourned by the whole family but at the funeral, it became clear to everyone watching that the conflict between Theresa and Matteo was finally coming to a head. The two had a public, explosive fight during the funeral that left the Bianchi family divided on whole to follow. On one hand, Matteo was grieving for the loss of his wife. For week he drowned himself in booze and misery. He became more spiteful and angry, snapping at anyone who tried to talk to him and killing people by the dozen who so much as looked at him wrong. Then there was the young up and coming Theresa who took up her father's slack without even flinching. She rallied the family together and sent them after Maristella's supposed killers. A week after the funeral, a small time family in Chicago were completely wiped out and blamed for the death of Maristella. Theresa was praised for bringing justice down on those who crossed the family. In hindesight, it wasn't a very hard to see why the family began to choose Theresa's side in the family civil war. Months passed and Matteo's grip on the family quickly deteriorated as Theresa's popularity skyrocketed. At the age of 35, Theresa didn't have much problem putting an end to her father's reign with a solid bullet through his head. She wasted no time elevating herself to the status of Godmother. Now, several months after her ascension to the top of the family, Theresa is ruling with an iron fist and ready to cut down anyone who stands in her way. Theresa wasn't listening to a word the priest was saying. She just stared down at the marble coffin with a slightly confused look on her face. She felt oddly empty. Like she was confused on what to do next. But that was impossible. She knew exactly what she was going to do next. Hell, Theresa had been planning for year what she would do the moment her father lay six feet under. Now that the moment was upon her, she couldn't help but fumble. Before the ceremony was even finished, Theresa turned on her heels and started walking out of the cemetery, ignoring the looks cast in her direction. Maybe if she got straight to work the feeling would go away, she mused to herself. After all, with her father now gone there was no shortage of work to be done. She had to get herself instated as the head of the Bianchi family, which wouldn't take much more than a couple phone calls and some paperwork. That was her first order of business. Gritting her teeth with determination Theresa slipped into her limo and gave the driver directions to take her back to the mansion. It felt oddly hollow, knowing her father would no longer haunt its halls. Shaking off the ridiculous feeling, Theresa marched up to her father's - her - office. In a fit of childish glee, she pushed everything off the desk in a single dramatic flourish and giggled. This was it. The start of her reign over Chicago. She could do whatever the hell she wanted. No father to defy her, no mother to send her judging looks, no one. There was no one left in her way. The rest of the evening was spent ripping down everything in her father's old office. Her employees hesitated on throwing out the old armchair sitting behind the desk. It was a family heirloom. Every Bianchi leader sat their fat ass down in the gold plated chair when they ruled the family. Theresa didn't even blink as she threw it out the window. In its place a temporary, ill-looking bronze chair was put in its place. Theresa gingerly sat down and surveyed her surroundings. They crowned her with a simple chair of bronze yet she looked more regal in bronze than Matteo ever did in gold. |
