Running With Guns
Now it's time to pay what's due
Sometimes Ryan wished criminals were honest. It sounded silly and even naive to think so, but the truth was, he really couldn’t understand why was it so hard to do what you’re paid for. Ryan was a reasonable man, or so he thought, he was a good costumer who always made sure to pay in time, and in exchange, he’d like to receive the same treatment from his suppliers, it was basic business practice, made the world go round and kept people happy, and happy people meant more business.
So why was getting the products he paid for felt like pulling teeth from sharks? This time it was one of his weapons suppliers, he had received so many good reviews from these guys, guaranteed to get excellent quality for a good price and timely delivery. Yeah right, he paid half upfront and since then he could barely find them. This was the last chance he was giving them, going personally deliver the rest of the money, and hopefully he’d get his guns. The place chosen was the beach, nobody went there in the middle of the winter and it was a neutral and open enough location that they could do business without fearing an ambush.
.He wanted this deal to work out, was willing to listen to excuses and all, and even avoided getting drunk so he would have all of his wits with him, only one glass of vodka so far today. He had asked Aidan to come with him, the boy was good with weapons, could check the quality of the product, and Ryan trusted him enough to watch his back. Right now he was waiting for Dan to show up so they could go, leaning against the car they would be using, a scarf covering half his face for what he expected would be a windy trip. He didn’t much care if they arrived late to the meeting, those dickholes already led him enough with their avoidance and poor excuses, but Ryan wasn’t the most patient of men, he was getting antsy for having to wait.
